The authors developed a method to investigate the penetrated depth of piled foundation with a Hall-Element sensor. The conventional magnetic investigating method has coil type magnetism sensors. However, this method is unsatisfactory when a magnetic field is weak. Adoption of a Hall-Element sensor solved the problem of the conventional magnetic investigating method, and in addition, high measurement accuracy was acquired. Verification of the applicability by the magnetic investigating method with the Hall-Element sensor based on the result of investigation has been presented in the report.
