When a high-speed train runs through a tunnel equipped with stations and a terminal, aerodynamic environment problems such as pressure changes and train draft are brought about at the stations/terminal. It is necessary, therefore, to predict the changes of pressure and wind velocity accurately for high-speed railways. For this purpose, a computer simulation program of one-dimensional unsteady compressible flow has been developed. The program can make the prediction of pressure and wind velocity changes for the tunnel equipped with station/terminal up to about 500km/h of the train speed. In this paper, calculation method and results of verification by model experiment are presented.
