At present, systems to manage various railway facilities have been developed by each railway company. In the facility condition monitoring system that is one of these developed systems, measurement data from the sensors installed in the field facilities are centralized and failures of facilities are detected. Although it is necessary to set up a threshold for detection of a failure, it seems that there are some cases in which rational threshold value can not be set up. This paper reports on the examination of technique for failure detection without setting up the threshold, and the result of detecting the failure based on data of electric switch machine monitor by using the statistics analysis technique which is one of datamining technique.
