Transport is the major consumer of expensive, imported fossil fuels and it is giving negative effect on the health of citizens and the economy, and it also causes climate change. In addition to realizing these facts, transport systems must provide flexibility to travel demand, responding to the multiple mobility choices of passengers. One of the solutions is to introduce intermodal transport. The key factor of this policy is that intermodal transport networks should provide seamless passenger transport so as to be favourably selected against the alternative 'car-only' travel. Information sharing for passenger intermodal transport discussed here is an effective measures to realize intermodal transport. It is found that standardization for information is a strong tool, but it is not a must.
