Recent Researches on Human Factors at RTRI

  This paper presents an outline of recent researches on human factors in the field of railway systems at RTRI. First, we present studies on the safeguard against train accidents caused by human errors. These are focused on individual and organizational measures for decrease of human errors. Then, we introduce researches on how to improve the riding comfort of trains and the usability of railway facilities for the aged and the disabled from the viewpoint of Universal Design.
