Takamitsu YAMAMOTO, Takashi YONEYAMA, Kenichi OGAWA

Public demands for energy saving and lower environmental burdens are ever increasing throughtout the world under a motto of global environment preservation. Recently, fuel cells are becoming popular among other methods, and accomplished a great technical progress to cope with such a situation. Thought there are some kinds of fuel cells on the market, Proton Exchange Membrane type fuel cells are most suitable for motive transport vehicles as the fuel cells workable under low temperatures. We introduce a control method and recent trends of these type fuel cells elsewhere in this report. We look forward to fuel cell technology be incorporated into railways, ships aircrafts and any other transportation systems.
