The article deals with a guideline and its management for a low-frequency electric and magnetic field in railway system. The term of "low-frequency" signifies the frequency less than 9kHz in this article. International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) Guide line, Euro Norm (EN 50121) and other guidelines and standards are dealt with, and recent UIC activity (EMC Management Project) is reported. Other items (influence of magnetic field to some devices, instrument for measurement and etc.) are also included herewith.
