Simulator for Traction Power Supply for Shinkansen

  We have developed a new simulator for traction power supply for AC railways such as Shinkansen. It provides essential information for rating substations, catenaries and protective equipment. The software uses track and rolling stock data, data of the supply network and timetables. Energy consumption of an individual train during running as well as load voltages and currents in any branch of the supply network (e.g. catenaries, feeders and transformers) can be calculated. It emulates a sophisticated technology such as digital ATC system for Shinkansen and a constant speed operation.
