The 7th World Congress on Railway Research 2006 (WCRR 2006) took place from June 4th to 8th, 2006, at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Montreal, Canada, attended by approximately 750 participants from 41 countries including 89 Japanese attendees. North American railway organizations such as Canadian Pacific Railways, Canadian National and AAR (Association of American Railroads) hosted and successfully completed the Congress under the motto, "Progressing Together". In total, 288 technical papers were presented in two types of sessions: 40 oral session (203 papers) and one poster session (85 papers). This article presents an outline of the technical papers of oral sessions.
