The design standard provides displacement limits such as change of angles for structures in view of running safety and riding comfort up to 260km/h operation. In this study, the influence of dominant parameters on the dynamic response of vehicles running on change of angles of structures were examined by numerical analysis to expand the applicability of design standard in the high-speed range. In addition, vehicle-running examination using a rolling stock test plant was conducted. The results of the analysis were consistent with the examination results. Based on the numerical analysis and actual running tests, a new provision for the railway design standard was proposed.
