Recently in railway, it is essential to reduce rolling noise that has a great part among the trackside noise. Therefore, we have developed a new type of rail noise insulating material for reducing the rolling noise. According the impact test to evaluate this material's vibration and acoustic characteristic, we confirmed that the vibration and generated noise reduced after this material installed to rail. In addition, upon the measurement on the railway lines we recognized the noise reduction of approximately 2dB at the neighborhood of the rail.
